I am boycotting the internet except for research reasons. This effectively means no Tumblr. Its a 1 month experiment. Almost everyone complains about how they have to be on it to stay in contact with people and world events etc. I believe thats just not the case. I think we are all over stimulated. DIY Making Creepy Books. Tutorial at Dave Lowe Design. The trick is using paper towels and cardboard! Also, on one of the books he used painted googly eyes (can find big packs at the Dollar Store) as realistic rivets.

My niece Mia absolutely loves play dough - is it possible that it’s a hereditary thing?! Because I absolutely loved play dough when I was young too and so did my sister! It’s one of the things I actually enjoy playing with her (playing with Barbies can get to be a little much!) but the real play dough is so expensive (especially when you have to re-purchase it because it’s been turned into a weird black colour!) and the cheapo play dough is weird and spongy. Also making my own means I can make as many colours as we want and it would be fun to make the different colours different scents. Weekend project!
